Fall Games
Fall Games is the second largest event hosted by SONH. The 2008 Fall Games will be held October 18th at Hudson's Alvirne High School (festivities begin at 8:30am) and at multiple bowling alleys throughout the state (start times vary).
Sports Offered at Fall Games:
Bowling (Candlepin and Ten Pin)
Bowling competition is offered in both Candlepin and Ten Pin in Traditional and Unified Sports divisions. Bowling alleys have been once again secured in different geographic areas of the State so that Local Programs can participate closer to “home”. This format allows us to keep all Local Programs at one bowling alley rather than splitting up teams. Athletes (or athletes and partners) are divisioned by scores sent in from their coaches and participate in a series of three games and awarded within their division. No handicapping system will be used.
The 2008 bowling venues are:
- Berlin: Berlin Bowling Center
- Keene: Yankee Lanes
- Concord: Boutwell's Bowling Alley
- Portsmouth: Bowl-O-Rama
- Manchester: Stadium Ten Pin
- Windham: Park Place Bowling
- Nashua: Leda Lanes
Unified Sports Volleyball
Competing in three different levels, teams comprised of athletes and partners will participate in a day-long tournament consisting of preliminary games and a medal round.
Cross Country Running
Cross-Country Running includes the 1500 meters, the 3000 meters, and the 5000 meters.
Cycling
Events include 5, 10, 15 and 25k road races.
Equestrian
The Upper Valley Region hosts an annual equestrian event. This year's equestrian event will take place at the Dartmouth College Riding Center on Sunday, September 28 beginning at 10am.
