 Save the Date: Penguin Plunge Weekend 2010: Saturday/Sunday, Feb. 6 & 7 Thank you for participating in the 10th Anniversary Penguin Plunge and High School Plunge!! With your help we raised over $565,000 and had 833 Plungers participate in the two Plunges. The efforts of hundreds of plungers and volunteers helped raise important funds that will support athletes and their families. Over the years Penguin Plunge dollars have provided athletes with the chance to participate in the Athlete Leadership Program (ALPs), have allowed Local Programs the opportunity to purchase higher quality uniforms and have allowed for improved training opportunities. Plunge funds also provide important community programs including introducing future Special Olympics athletes to our Young Athletes Program. SONH offers individuals with intellectual challenges opportunities in year-round training and competition in Olympic winter, summer, and fall sports. Through the power of sports, Special Olympics transforms the lives of people with intellectual disabilities and also fosters a community of acceptance and inclusion….all while having fun. On behalf of our athletes and their families, the true beneficiaries of your support, thank you for your generosity. Please come back and participate in the 2011 Plunge Weekend! January 30th 2009 Ticket Sales Closed. We will have a celebration Penguin Bash at the Ashworth By The Sea Hotel in Hampton Beach, NH. This will be a evening of dinner, dancing with a live band, and silent auction to support the Local Programs of Special Olympics New Hampshire. Tickets are $50.00 per person and seating is limited. We will also be honoring Athletes, Volunteers, and 10 Year Plungers! Dress will be business casual for this event.

January 31st 2009 This exciting event is only for High School Students, Faculty, Principals, School Resource Officers, and Coaches. The High School Plunge is a great opportunity to raise funds for your school organization and SONH athletes! 15% of the gross proceeds of your plunge will go to the principal approved school organization and 15% of the gross proceeds will be credited to the Special Olympics Local/Regional Program where your school is located. 2009 Costume Theme is Mardi Gras!!!

February 1st 2009 Be among the bravest Penguins and experience this chilling event that directly benefits the Athletes of Special Olympics New Hampshire! WMUR-TV 9's Chief Meteorologist Mike Haddad is the Chief Penguin and Kevin Skarupa WMUR-TV Meteorologist is the Plunge Jester (head chicken). Danielle Carrier and Mark Ericson of WOKQ's Morning Waking Crew will be our Masters of Ceremony. 2009 Costume Theme is Mardi Gras!!!
