Unified Sports Golf - Tuesday, Aug. 12, 200
Nippo Lake Golf Course, Barrington, NH
The Unified Sports golf season includes three competition opportunities for athletes. SONH offers a Northern and Southern Regional Tournament for athletes to gain competition experience before the state tournament.
The State Tournament is the capstone to our golf “season” held annually in August as part of our Unified Sports weekend. Athletes will compete in divisions based on scores submitted or achieved at one of the two Regional Tournaments. Athletes are awarded based on the lowest score in their division.
Unified Sports Golf follows the alternate shot format at all tournaments. Athletes are paired with a partner and will play one ball in one of three division’s : 5 hole, 9 hole , and 18 hole. Athletes may also compete in individual skills competition.
Unified Sports Softbal - Sunday, August 24, 2008
The State Tournament consists of two levels of competition – Unified Sports Softball and Individual Skills Competition.
Unified Sports Softball features athletes and partners competing on the same team against other Unified Teams. Unified Sports teams compete in day long competition ending with a single elimination medal round to determine final places. Unified Sports Softball teams must have an equal number of athletes and partners on the field at all times. The team roster should not exceed more than 15 players.
Individual Skills Competition (ISC) consists of a series of stations focusing on the following skills of softball: base running, throwing, hitting, and fielding.
