NHACOP/SONH BOD Golf Tournament
Postponed
New Hampshire Association of Chiefs of Police(NHACOP) /SONH BOD Golf Tournament benefiting both organizations has been rescheduled for Monday, August 29th. The event was moved from its original date because of weather. Special Olympics conducts 44,000 competitions a year around the world. That is equal to, on average, 121 events every single day. |

TD Bank Customers and Employees Raise more than $47,000 for SONH
TD Bank partnered with 12 states during the months of May and June a nd raised more than $1 million for Special Olympics and more than $47,000 for SONH through the third annual Be a fan campaign.
TD Bank raised funds through in-store donations, wristband sales, and internal store fundraising.
In addition to the support of TD Bank during the Be a fan campaign, TD Bank and its employees in New Hampshire participate in the Penguin Plunge, and sponsor Opening Ceremonies at Summer Games with more than 50 employees participating.

Timberlane Football Boosters Support SONH
The Tmberlane High School Football team's booster club is donating 5% of their proceeds this season to SONH.
The boosters will raise funds through their annual Gold Card sale, concessions and apparel sales as well as various other fundraisers.
Timberlane's first football game of the season will be against Bedford HS on September 2nd at home. |

Circle K and Irving Raise More Than $130,000 for SONH

Circle K stores and Irving Oil's 2011 Fueling Dreams campaign raised more than $130,000 for Special Olympics New Hampshire. Thank you to CircleK and Irving for their support of SONH!

Fueling Dreams is a month long collaborative fundraising effort among Circle K stores Irving Oil and Special Olympics. Throughout the month of July, Circle K stores, sold window clings as a way to raise money for Special Olympics. In addition to the sale of window clings local law enforcement officers partnered with local Special Olympics Programs and Circle K and Irving employees on July 23rd for To Serve and Protect Day, an event where law enforcement officers, along with Special Olympics athletes pumped gas and washed windows for donations at locations around the state.
Mary Conroy, President of Special Olympics New Hampshire said, "We cannot thank Circle K, Irving Oil and the law enforcement community enough for their support of Special Olympics New Hampshire and the more than 2,300 athletes we serve every day."
Since 1999, Fueling Dreams - To Serve and Protect promotion has raised over $2 million for Special Olympics throughout New England, which supports over 28,000 Special Olympics athletes in the region each year. |

State Golf Competition Wraps Up
The 2011 State Golf Tournament was held on August 9th at Nippo Lake Golf Course in Barrington. The tournament was the culmination of the 2011 golf season; in order for athletes and Unified Partners to qualify for the state event they had to participate in one of two Regional golf events. SONH hosted 120 Athletes and Unified Partners in 18 hole, 9 hole and 5 hole competitions. To see the results from the state event click here.

Cops Ascend To Harley Rooftops To Support Special Olympics
Bozzuto's Inc., The Hometown Foundation. local law enforcement officers and Granite State Harley-Davidson have teamed up for the Cops on Top fundraiser to benefit Special Olympics New Hampshire. Police officers from the Hanover Police Department will sit on the roof of Granite State Harley-Davidson in Lebanon from noon to 8:00pm on Friday, August 19th and officers from the Lebanon Police Department will do the same on Saturday, August 20th from 10:00am - 2:00pm.
The Police officers will be on the rooftop of Granite State Harley-Davidson promoting awareness of Special Olympics and encouraging the public to contribute to Special Olympics in order to get them off the roof. This fundraiser is part of the 2011 Dream Ride benefiting the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics New Hampshire.
In addition to the Cops on Top fundraiser at Granite State Harley-Davidson in Lebanon, the dealership will also be hosting the NH/VT Regional Harley Owners Group (H.O.G) Rally, August 18th - 20th. The event will include music from the Brian Jarvis Band on Saturday from Noon to 2pm and tethered hot air balloon rides at 6:30. Visit the Granite State Harley-Davidson website for more information.
