State Golf Tournament

 

Special Olympics New Hampshire(SONH) will host the State Golf Tournament on Tuesday, August 9th at Nippo Lake Golf Course in Barrington. Athletes qualified for the state event through their participation in Regional events held in July.

Local Program Coordinators Qtr 2 Mailing

 

Local Program Coordinators look for the SONH 2nd quarter mailing in your e-mail in-boxes next week.

 

SONH is saying goodbye to Field Services Manager, Katie Closs as she will be going back to school for her masters degree in education. Katie's last day is Thursday, August 18th - please join us in thanking Katie for all her work supporting our Local Programs.

The Fall Games are Moving
SONH Announces Dates and Location of the 2011 Regional and State Fall Games

 

 

The Upper Valley Regional Fall Games that have traditionally been held in Hanover are moving to Colby-Sawyer College in New London, NH and the event will be re-named the State Fall Games. Colby-Sawyer College will host the sports of Volleyball and Cross-Country Running on Sunday, September 25th.

 

The Upper Valley Region will continue to host a regional equestrian event this year, taking place on September 25th at the Dartmouth Riding Center in Etna, NH. 

 

Bowling athletes will have the opportunity to compete in the State Bowling Tournament which is being held on two separate dates this year.  On Sunday, September 25th Upper Valley Lanes and Games will host the first bowling competition of the season and on Saturday, October 29th SONH will host bowling events at locations across the state. 

 

Upcoming Fall Events and Dates 

 

Sunday, September 25th

  • State Fall Games - Colby-Sawyer College
  • Upper Valley Regional Equestrian Competition - Dartmouth Riding Center
  • State Bowling Tournament - Upper Valley Lanes and Games

We Are Looking for A Good Name

SONH will Give a $50 Gift Certificate to the Winner

 

 

Special Olympics New Hampshire (SONH) is looking to name our Newsletter and we need your help. Our Newsletter is produced every other week and aims to highlight everything going on at SONH including upcoming athletic events, fundraising events, our athletes, volunteers and sponsors. If you think you have name for the newsletter please visit our Facebook Page and submit your name on our discussions page.

 

The winner of the newsletter naming competition will receive a $50 gift certificate for their entry. 

  • If two or more people submit the same name for the newsletter the winner will be drawn at random from those entries.
  • If an SONH staff member submits the winning name - we will draw a name at random and award that person the prize.
  • Only submissions made on our Facebook Discussions tab are eligible for the prize.
