Volunteer

Volunteers are the backbone of the Special Olympics movement. They are coaches, trainers, officials, event organizers, fundraisers and managers. They can also be unified partners—playing alongside athletes with intellectual disabilities—or fans cheering in the stands.

Our volunteers are all ages and their commitments can range from an afternoon to a lifetime. Throughout New Hampshire, our volunteers are helping to bring out the champion in every Special Olympics athlete.

Special Olympics would not exist today — and could not have been created — without the time, energy, commitment and enthusiasm of people just like you, thousands of individuals who choose to take a little time from busy schedules to make the world a better place.

Volunteer at an Event

Event volunteers help us conduct all of our year-round competitions and fundraising events. From handing out towels at the Penguin Plunge to running a timer for a snowshoe competition. No prior experience is required. Volunteers may pre-register for an event or show up the day of.

Visit our Events Page to find a date and location that works for you.  Each event page includes an online registration site where you can sign up to volunteer.
