The Office Manager organizes and supervises all the administrative activities that facilitate a smooth-running office. The position is a part of the executive department, who work as team to support the organizations success.

The organization has a small staff, a heavy workload and frequently works under deadline pressures. Physical, Mental and Visual Requirements

Good vision is required for the time reading a variety of documents and for computer work. Must be able to lift 50 pounds to assist in preparing equipment for events. Most tasks require bending, reaching, walking and sitting. Many tasks require sitting and a broad range of motion. Most tasks require frequent mental and visual attention and the ability to re-focus attention following interruptions.

Work requires travel by automobile to communities throughout NH for meetings and program operations. Employees must maintain a valid NH driver’s license and manage travel arrangements, including overnight accommodations. Employees are responsible for loading and moving program materials, assorted promotional goods and/or tools into personal vehicles or other vehicles as needed to meet schedule deadlines.

Work schedules fluctuate as needed to meet management goals and planned schedules.


Work is performed in SONH offices and at various venues for meetings and events during the year.

Travel by automobile requires attention to safe driving practices, including the wearing of seat belts. SONH employees are expected to follow motor vehicle laws of each state in which they drive for business purposes, including laws prohibiting the use of cell phones while vehicle is being driven.

The employee must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position without posing a direct threat to his or her health and safety or the health and safety of other individuals in the workplace.
