Friday, January 3rd brought the 6th Annual Lakes Region Unified Basketball Jamboree to Belmont High School. The first game of the daylong event tipped off at 9 am. Participating teams came from Berlin, Gilford, Laconia, Newfound and Winnisquam.

In addition to the basketball games the event included raffles and concession sales. Those funds, as well as the modest admission charge, are all being donated to Special Olympics New Hampshire to support Unified Schools programming . There are over 70 schools in New Hampshire with Unified Schools programs. Gilford High School is one of four schools in the Granite State that have achieved banner recognition as a Unified Champion School.
