Arcadia Financial is Freezin’ for a Reason For Special Olympics New Hampshire
This year, Special Olympics New Hampshire is lucky enough to be the chosen charity of the year for Arcadia Financial. For owners, Mike and Jessica Panico, Special Olympics New Hampshire is near and dear to their hearts, as their two children, Nolan (12 years old) and Reese (10 years old) are athletes in the program. Nolan has been with SONH since he was 8 years old, and Reese is in his first year competing in snowshoeing. They are both competing at this year’s Winter Games. Mike says, “I have been a part of Special Olympics with my two boys for nearly five years. Special Olympics athletes are amazing! Through this program, athletes get their moment in the sun, and it is so beautiful to witness. The volunteers who make all the magic happen work so hard. It is an organization I am proud to volunteer and raise money for.”
Each year, Arcadia Financial supports a charitable organization and commits to a quarterly donation plan. Owner, Mike Panico says, “For our 2024 selection, we chose an organization that has had a great impact on both our staff as well as our community. We are thrilled to be working with Special Olympics New Hampshire. We believe time is more valuable than money, which is why giving back to our community is so important. This is a place where staff and clients come together to support their community. Our credentials say we’re financial advisors, but our track record says we’re in the business of helping people live their best life every day.”
In their first year of participating in Special Olympics New Hampshire’s Penguin Plunge, Arcadia Financial is pulling out all the stops when it comes to raising money. They have a fundraising goal of $5,200 for just the plunge and will continue to fundraise for the rest of the year. They are hoping to hit a total of $25,000 by the end of the year. Arcadia is a small company made up of 33 employees that was started in 2011, with two locations in Andover, MA and Manchester, NH. Alicia Rainville, Arcadia’s Marketing Director, says that the Arcadia team “feels like a family, and they are happy to work together to raise as much as they can.”
Visitors to Arcadia’s Manchester, NH office are greeted by “Sir Penguin,” an inflatable penguin featuring a QR code linking to their fundraising page. Employees wear lanyards with the same QR code, simplifying the donation process for clients.
To enhance their fundraising initiatives, Arcadia Financial created a lively video with a 70s-style phone-a-thon theme encouraging friends, family, and clients to contribute to the penguin plunge. For every $500 donated, they’ll send another employee into the Atlantic on Sunday, February 11 for the Special Olympics New Hampshire Penguin Plunge. Check out the video below!
We’d like to give a special thanks to Arcadia Financial for choosing Special Olympics of New Hampshire as their charity for this year! For more information on Arcadia Financial, visit their website HERE!
