
Seacoast Area Summer Games in Exeter Sunday
Competition Sunday, May 4th in Exeter
Exeter, NH (May 1, 2025) – The athletes of Special Olympics New Hampshire (SONH) are already looking forward to the 2025 State Summer Games at UNH. To be able to participate in those games, athletes will be qualifying at regional competitions this Sunday. The Seacoast Area Summer Games will be held at Exeter High School this Sunday and kick-off with Opening Ceremonies at 8:45 am.
The Seacoast Area Summer Games at Exeter High School include competition in athletics and bocce. The Area Summer Games serve as a precursor to the State Summer Games June 6th and 7th at UNH in Durham. Similar regional competitions are taking place this Sunday in two other regions of New Hampshire. The Upper Valley Area Summer Games in Claremont and the Great North Woods Area Summer Games in Berlin.
In 2025, the Exeter Area Summer Games will include swimming competition at the Nekton Championship Pool at Phillips Exeter Academy swimming pool. The PEA facility was used by SONH during last year’s State Summer Games at UNH due to construction at the UNH pool.
More than 400 athletes from 24 different local programs will be competing this Sunday in Exeter. In all, there will be more than 600 athletes participating in regional competitions statewide this Sunday.
