Concord, NH (July 8, 2025) –On Friday evening, the Silver Knights are hosting are the 2025 Heroes Cup at Holman Stadium in Nashua. Police and fire personnel from across New Hampshire will take to the diamond at 6:15 pm in the Heroes Cup Baseball Game to benefit Special Olympics New Hampshire (SONH). In addition to great baseball, the event will feature an emergency vehicle “touch-a-truck” display as well as fireworks at the game’s conclusion. Admission to the game is $10 and tickets can be reserved at sonh.org.

This year, each member of Team Fire and Team Police is partnered with an SONH athlete. Rich Racine plays infield for Team Fire and is partnered Brody Boston, a swimmer and basketball player from Dover.

Rich Racine, a Manchester Firefighter and champion of SONH athletes, makes an exciting play at the base during the 2024 Heroes Cup. This year’s game is Friday, July 11th at 6:15 at Holman Stadium in Nashua.

“Preparing for the Heroes Cup is a labor of love that brings us closer to the heart of what this event is all about—supporting the incredible athletes,” the Manchester Firefighter said. “Every drop of sweat is worth it when you see the determination in their eyes and the bonds formed with the hero partners.”

Holman Stadium is a new venue for the fundraiser and The Silver Knights have rolled out the red carpet for the event. “We’ve been lucky to partner with them,” SONH President and CEO Mary Conroy said. “They understand both the importance of the cause and that we just want to make it a great sports experience for the players, volunteers, and spectators. Game day is going to be a great success.”

Firefighter Racine is excited for game day, too. “… I’m thrilled to see the field come alive with energy—the cheers, the teamwork, the pure joy of competition. It’s a celebration of courage and community that fuels the mission of Special Olympics New Hampshire, empowering these athletes to inspire us all.”
