October 10, 2025 – Earlier this week, Special Olympics New Hampshire athlete and marathoner Thomas Cantara traveled to Washington, D.C. alongside former SONH Board Member and retired Nike executive, Mark Duggan. Their destination? The recording studio for Inclusion Revolution Radio—the official Special Olympics podcast hosted by SODC athlete and Special Olympics International employee Novie Craven.

The episode, set to be released soon, will feature Thomas sharing his extraordinary journey of completing all six World Marathon Majors —Tokyo, Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago, and New York City. It’s a milestone only a small number of athletes in the world can claim, and one that speaks to Thomas’ dedication, resilience, and passion for sport.

For Thomas, this opportunity was about more than just celebrating races. It was a chance to share how Special Olympics has played a role in his life, from the ski slopes of New Hampshire to some of the biggest marathon finish lines in the world.

“It was my first time ever going on a podcast. It was a really cool experience. Novie made me feel like I was a celebrity when I was showing her the medals I’ve earned – but she’s the celebrity! She’s had so many interesting people on her show, like NBA players, congressmen and congresswomen, and even Victoria Arlen, one of my favorite athletes! I really loved hearing Novie’s story of how she got her podcast started and how it has grown to over a million subscribers.”

Thomas Cantara

We’re especially grateful to Mark Duggan for his support throughout Thomas’ marathon journey. With his connections to race organizers and his belief in Thomas’ potential, Mark helped open the door for Thomas to not only line up at the starting line of the World Marathon Majors, but also to share his story on a national stage. As a former SONH Board Member, Mark’s continued support highlights the lasting impact of our community and the difference one person can make in helping athletes achieve their dreams.

We are incredibly proud of Thomas for representing SONH on the national stage and can’t wait for the world to hear his story through Inclusion Revolution Radio.
