Welcome to the Board: Ed McCann

Special Olympics New Hampshire is proud to welcome Ed McCann to our Board of Directors!

Ed brings with him a wealth of experience as a manager, engineer, and community leader, with a career spanning the electronics, telecommunications, defense, security, and medical industries. Known as a hands-on leader with a collaborative style, Ed has successfully led teams and projects focused on innovation, efficiency, and relationship-building across multiple sectors.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Ed has dedicated decades to community service through the New Hampshire Knights of Columbus, where he has been a member for more than 50 years. Guided by the organization’s core principle of charity, Ed has served in numerous leadership roles — including State Deputy and currently State Executive Secretary — helping coordinate statewide initiatives that promote service, compassion, and giving back.

Through his involvement with the Knights of Columbus, Ed has been a steadfast supporter of Special Olympics New Hampshire for many years, volunteering at events and contributing to countless moments of inclusion and celebration for our athletes. His long-standing partnership with SONH reflects his deep commitment to community and service.

We’re excited to welcome Ed to the SONH Board of Directors and look forward to the insight, compassion, and leadership he’ll bring as we continue working to create opportunities for athletes across New Hampshire to shine.
