One Step Closer
Moments That Matter on the Road to 26.2
March 17th, 2026
There’s something special about this time in the journey.
The miles are stacking up. The early mornings are getting a little brighter. And the moments in between, the ones that don’t always make headlines, are starting to tell the real story.
For the SONH Runs Boston team, this stretch is where preparation meets purpose.
Finding the Right Fit
For SONH athlete Jason Menard, that journey recently brought him to Marathon Sports in Portsmouth, where he was properly fitted for running shoes designed just for him.
It wasn’t just about trying on a pair of sneakers. It was about finding the right support for every mile ahead. The kind of fit that helps turn long runs into confident ones, and training days into something you can build on.
Every step forward starts with a solid foundation, and for Jason, that moment marked another stride toward the starting line.

Turning Tables, Raising Impact
Last Thursday, the energy shifted from training routes to restaurant floors.
Our first Tip-A-Runner event kicked off at Applebee’s in Epping on March 12, where members of the SONH Runs Boston team traded in running shoes for aprons, serving meals, sharing stories, and connecting with the community that’s behind them every step of the way.
It was more than a fundraiser. It was a night filled with laughter, teamwork, and a reminder that this journey is bigger than any one runner.
And we’re just getting started.

The Countdown Is On
We’re now just 4 weeks and 1 day away from race day.
Close enough to feel it. Far enough that every run, every fundraiser, every moment still matters.
And here’s the exciting part: we’re nearly halfway to our fundraising goal.
That means every bit of support from here on out carries us even closer, not just to the finish line, but to creating year-round opportunities for more than 2,500 athletes to train, compete, and thrive.
Grateful for Teammates Who Go the Distance
We’re incredibly thankful to our friends at WMUR for helping shine a light on this journey and sharing the stories behind the miles.
Their support in spreading the word has helped bring more people into this movement, building momentum with every feature and every share.
We’re especially proud to have WMUR’s own Alanna Flood as part of the SONH Runs Boston team. She’s not just telling these stories, she’s living them, training, fundraising, and running alongside this incredible group.
It’s the kind of partnership that goes beyond coverage. It’s community in action.

Be Part of the Journey
This team is running for something bigger than themselves.
They’re running for inclusion. For opportunity. For the belief that everyone deserves a chance to cross their own finish line.
