Weather Update: 2026 Plunge Weekend

Plunge weekend is here, and while the Penguin Plunge and High School Plunge are rain, snow, or shine events, participant safety is our top priority.

This weekend’s forecast is calling for extreme cold, with high winds on Saturday creating dangerously low “feels like” temperatures. We encourage all plungers and families to carefully consider the conditions, travel, and personal comfort before attending. If conditions on site are determined to be unsafe due to the cold and wind, participants may not be permitted to enter the water, even if they are present.

If you are unable to attend due to the weather, we completely understand. Please fill out this form to let us know you won’t be coming and to select the base incentive item and size you’ve earned. Fundraising support can also continue even if you’re cheering us on from home.

Thank you for being part of Plunge weekend and for supporting Special Olympics New Hampshire—whether you’re with us on the beach or supporting from afar. Stay safe and stay warm.
