What do I wear when I volunteer?
For most LETR volunteer opportunities, law enforcement professionals are encouraged to wear their uniform and proudly represent their role and agency.
This is especially meaningful when presenting awards at Special Olympics competitions. Athletes work hard for their moment on the podium, and receiving recognition for their accomplishments from the law enforcement heroes they look up to in their communities makes that moment even more special.
If you’re serving as a one-day volunteer in a general volunteer role, you’re welcome to wear your uniform, but it isn’t required. Some events and volunteer roles are better suited for more casual attire.
