High School Plunge
The High School Plunge is an annual Special Olympics New Hampshire fundraising event, raising funds for SONH Unified Sports®. The High School Plunge is open to high school students, faculty and staff of an SAU. High School Plungers jumped into the Atlantic Ocean at Hampton Beach on February 4th. Each participnt solicited support from friends, family, teachers, etc., to raise a minimum of $150 to benefit Special Olympics New Hampshire. On Saturday, February 4th, Masters of Ceremonies WMUR-TV 9's Meteorologist Kevin Skarupa, and Mark Ericson and Karen Kiley of WOKQ's Morning Waking Crew welcomed new and returning Penguins to the 2012 High School Plunge.
In 2012 - 483 High School Plungers from 43 schools raised $179, 688 for Special Olympics.

Peerless Penguin - Awarded to the individual Plunger who raisies the largest amount of money
Biggest Pampered Penguin - Awarded to the Pampered Penguin that raises the largest amount of money
Super School - Awarded to the school that raisies the most money to support Special Olympics
Peerless Flock - Presented to the Flock that has the highest dollar average raised per plunger in their flock
School of Excellence - Awarded to the school that makes an exceptional contribution to the Plunge through their spirit, loyalty and fundraising.
Flock Leader - Presented to an exceptional High School Flock Leader
Most Distinguished Penguin - Awarded to the individual wearing the best costume
Most Distinguished Flock - Awarded to the FLock of Plungers with the best costumes
