Torch Run

MORE THAN A FLAME - IT'S A BEACON OF HOPE

The Torch Run is a running event, in which officers and athletes run the Flame of Hope™ in a series of 18 legs covering over 800 miles throughout the state ending at the Opening Ceremonies of the State Summer Games at the University of New Hampshire in Durham.

Plans are currently underway for the 2013 Torch Run which will end at the State Summer Games Opening Ceremonies on Friday, May 31st.

2013 marks the 29th year of the partnership between Law Enforcement and Special Olympics New Hampshire. There are many fundraising initiatives that Law Enforcement officers can be involved in. You can raise funds for SONH and the LETR by soliciting donations/sponsorships for running in the Torch Run itself, by selling Torch Run Icons at local businesses, by pumping gas at the Fueling Dreams To Serve and Protect promotion. Funds can be raised easily with minimal effort by creating an on-line fundraising page.
